For our AS media Studies coursework we were asked to research, plan and create a new music magazine.
What did I think?
I thought this task would be a lot more interesting than the preliminary task, a school magazine, as we were able to use more advanced programs such as Photoshop, blogger, Slide share etc. I was excited to design my own music magazine and learn more professional editing skills.

Question 2: Evaluation

Also the mise en scene (clothes make-up setting etc.) used in my images represents a certain social group. The girls on the front cover are wearing dark and sparkly clothing, it is modern and grunge and could highlight their dark attitudes. Also one of the girls has blue hair which could show the social group as out there, stereotypically to have blue hair is not seen as the social norm and eludes to their unique feel. The girls expressions look very deep and looks like they're really into the music. This highlights a key theme that music is the most important thing.
